How the blues was won

A man fights for his life and his music

Robert Johnson's story and the blues in general haas been a constant fascination for me. Never considered that it might get in into the Wall Street Journal, but hey, that's weird.

“...and Mr. Craig, who doubles as the production’s sound designer, ratchets up the show’s total effect to a jolting degree.”
--Terry Teachout, Wall Street Journal

About the Music

Recreating the iconic sound of Robert Johnson in a modern context isn't easy. This was a covid era film, so I arranged and recorded all of the guitar parts, then added Lawrence Stallings' voice to create a modern version of the original songs.

I’m a sound and media designer, a composer, occasionally a recording engineer and always a teacher. And that’s in one day. Sometimes before lunch.
