A Midsummer Night's Dream

Clarence Brown Theater

There is a tremendously wide variety of ideas and sounds here.

In the opening you hear a female voice singing a child’s nursery rhyme - the voice belongs to the fantastic Abby Siegworth - who I have now worked with multiple times at the Dallas Theater Center as well as now the Clarence Brown Theater. She played both Hippolyta and Titania in this production; the song was recorded as a scratch idea for the opening, and I found it to be a perfect opening for this production.

Mystery, magic, and wonder fill the air in this play, and the music for this version of the show.
